Healthy Junkies just came back from Bordeaux where we played a couple of gigs organized by Smooth Reverend.
The city council was also involved in the whole project based on a theme such as Rock in the Uk for this occasion.

It was quite refreshing to notice that there was a whole team behind it, associations got together with musicians to help them into the two gigs, there was such a diversity of bands in Bordeaux, including very precocious kids who were already into punk music at the age of 11.(and playing the drums really well)

I've been told Bordeaux used to be the rock capital in France, I can believe it and I wish we would have more help in London when it comes to promoting live events; you would end up in jail if you dared putting gigs posters on the walls of London.
